Looking for someone creative and innovative that demonstrates critical thinking to develop age appropriate activities for their son. They are also looking for someone comfortable traveling. In the summer they typically spend most of August in East Hampton, NY. In July and some parts of June they will go to the Island on Wednesday or Thursday night for 1-2 days of the week.
They are looking for someone who would come out with them and then take the train back to the city for the weekend on Friday afternoon. Nanny would have their own room with a private bathroom. Position Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Safety first
• Pitch-in attitude regarding general maintenance and cleanliness of their newborn
• Follows parents’ approach to childcare and embraces family parenting style
• Manage daily care and supervision of their newborn
• Adhere to their newborn’s schedule (e.g., School drop-off and pick-ups, and any plan playdates and after-school activities.)
• Facilitate intellectual development (e.g., words, numbers, stories, puzzles, overlooking any schoolwork, etc.)
• Facilitate social development, helping to make connections with friends and attending playdates and classes
• Ability to plan fun activities, keeping their newborn active and engaged
• Ability to make appropriate meals for their newborn
• Laundry for their newborn
• Manage all aspects of their newborn’s property with utmost cleanliness and organization, including meals/snacks and clean-up, hanging clothes after laundry, cleaning toys/books, diaper bags, etc
